Apostle Benton Hill & Prophetess Damita Hill
Apostle Benton Hill, a Chicago native, has a heart for the people. Apostle Hill’s journey has been one of servanthood as his life has demonstrated and confirmed his rise from a child servant to one of leadership. Apostle Hill has been called and long-established by God and given the charge to lead His people, and carry on the family legacy at Bibleway Church of Chicago and now Be Whole Christian Center.
Apostle Hill is fully supported by his help mate/wife, Prophetess Damita Hill. Together they accepted God’s call and have been charged to serve as part of the five-fold ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ, using their authority as they consistently pray for the people of God and praise God that his people are being delivered out of the hand of the enemy through the apostolic and prophetic gifts they are to the body of Christ. Together as they study and teach the word of God from the Hebrew perspective, they gain a deeper and restored understanding of right living as they lead God’s people towards a heaven on earth experience.
The Be Whole Christian Center family has witnessed their leader’s liberty in Christ as a hallmark of their ministry, as they have created a fun family atmosphere full of love, laughter, liberty and loyalty and has seen you can enjoy our great God and have fun with each other as they and the BWCC family serve the Lord together. They are our dynamic duo! A power couple that lives the word and provides the examples their congregation needs to see as they love and live out loud for Christ.
VISION STATEMENT
God has given us a vision to spread the love of Christ. To empower people to seek the fullness of God and His kingdom. Equipping and maturing people with the whole Bible. Developing and perfecting disciples to advance the kingdom of God. Teaching believers how to walk in their spiritual gifts, understand, and demonstrate the authority and power of God. That people may be saved, delivered, and set free to live abundantly in Christ.
CHURCH HISTORY
In 1972, God led Pastor T.B. and Lady Virginia Lloyd to found “The Church of The Living God.” Obeying the voice of God, Pastor and Lady Lloyd opened the doors to “The Church of The Living God.” They began by using Love Way Church facility on Saturday evenings. As the church grew, they relocated to the South side of Chicago at 57th and Loomis and began spreading Christ’s love.
After two years, The Church of The Living God moved to 63rd and Langley in Chicago, IL. At this location, the church was robbed of all its furniture. God saw fit to have the robbers place everything back in proper order the same day. During the church’s stay at this location, the unadulterated Word of God was preached, incorruptible seed was planted, watered and the harvest manifested in spiritual and physical growth. Due to this growth, there was a need for change and a larger more spacious worship space was sought and obtained at 103rd Vincennes in Chicago, IL.
After approximately three years, God inspired Pastor Lloyd and Lady Lloyd to uproot from this location and open their home, and faithfully began each week holding worship opportunities at their home for four and a half years. This season of transition did not affect the movement of the Holy Spirit. Upon the leading of the Holy Spirit and after searching for a year, Pastor and Lady Lloyd moved to their current location at 502 W. 95th Street in Chicago, IL. During the time of transition, “The Church of The Living God” later changed its name to reflect the birth of something new and “Bibleway Church of Chicago “(BWCC) was BORN!
Through every obstacle God has increased Pastor and Lady Virginia Lloyd’s faith and had given them a bold voice for the spreading of the gospel and a strong passion for the kingdom of God.
On November 16, 2008, Benton Hill who had served in Bibleway Church of Chicago since he was a child; was ordained into ministry, as Minister Benton Hill. Following this transition into ministry God saw fit to further promote Minister Benton Hill.
On December 29, 2013 Minister Benton Hill was voted in as Pastor by the members of Bibleway Church of Chicago. Pastor Hill has been a faithful member of BWCC serving since he was a child. Pastor Hill’s church anniversary is celebrated on January 5th each year, as this is the date that he first stood as Pastor of Bibleway Church of Chicago and as the newly elected leader of BWCC the focus remained the same to continue to spread Christ’s Love.
On Wednesday, September 3, 2014 in answer to the higher call of God in the life of Pastor Benton Hill he was activated as, Apostle Benton Hill a position and function he does not take lightly.
In 2018 continuing the legacy of our founder Pastor T.B. Lloyd of Bibleway Church of Chicago the now newly installed Apostle Benton Hill being led by the
Holy Spirit changed BWCC’s name to; Be Whole Christian Center.
