Course Days: Every 1st & 2nd Sunday of each month (unless otherwise indicated)

Course prerequisites – Any prerequisites or co-requisites of these courses are outlined in the university’s student handbook. 

Course Overview: It is vital that every believer have a basic knowledge of the Holy scriptures. With so many denominations, and belief systems it’s difficult to distinguish what’s true therefore, we need to know what God has said. Our Old and New Testament study is designed to give a basic introduction into the word of God and will encourage the student to continue their own personal study thereby being approved unto God a workman that needs not to be ashamed rightly dividing the word of truth.

Course Materials: Our main resource of study materials is the Bible.

Course Materials: Our main resource of study materials is the Bible. Student/s can choose their preferred version but the university does prefer the King James Version of the Bible. Any additional resources needed for each course of study will be given to the students prior to the start of each class.

Homework Policy, Assignment List or Course Requirements

  • A reading list will be given prior to each of the introductory portions of each class for the 2023 academic year which will generally be the first and second Sunday of each month. If there are any questionnaires that will need to be completed, they will be assigned a date that they will be due prior to the start of each class.   
  • Homework assignments, quizzes and or tests will be a portion and percentage of the grade as well as the student’s attendance.    

Attendance Policy

  • Student/s should attend classes on time. Student should communicate with the instructor if they are going to be late or not able to attend. Please know that students taking in-person and on-line classes will be allowed 5 minutes past the starting time to be allowed in the class after that the class is closed and you will not be allowed in.  
  • Instructors will be able to make the decision about students moving forward in classes if attendance and time is an issue. 
  • Because of the structure of these classes, it’s important that the student be committed to class attendance. Current expectation is for an 2 Sunday’s per month per class with an anticipated 100% participation. 
  • In cases of emergency, we will do our best to notify all students if classes are not occurring or in-session for that day and time slot.       

Communication Policy
All instructor’s contact information is via: email: [email protected] and during in-person classes when instructors can be addressed prior to or after each class if time permits. If additional information is requested of the student regarding a specific class, then the instructor and student would make arrangements to further communicate only after the university senior leaders have been made aware of such a request. Student’s integrity is important as we understand that emergencies can and do happen but we expect student’s communication to be timely and conducted in such a way that the student’s word is verifiable.

 Electronic Devices Policy
Students are expected to be visible during online classes and ready with tools (e.g., laptops, cell phones for note taking or recording lectures unless the instructor specifies something different) to assist with learning and participation in the classes. 

Accommodations Statement
If the student will need special accommodations for in-person classes we ask the student to make those arrangements prior to signing up for any in-person classes. 

Academic Procedures and Policies
Students will be informed prior to start of each class how their assignments are to be submitted. Submission of late projects, assignments, and resubmissions will be per class and instructor of the class involved.
